Weird WiFi connection issues?

I have the Wyze Cam Pan camera and it does occasionally disconnect from the network.
I find if I wait long enough, it will reattach. I just got one of the Wyze smart plugs and attached the camera to that. The plan is that if the camera doesn’t reconnect on it’s own, I can remotely power cycle the camera with the smart plug to expedite the reconnect process. (The plug and the camera are on the same network, so if it really is a network
issue, this won’t solve anything.)

UPDATE: We have placed two in line Ac plug adapters into each outdoor recessed bulb. This lowers the bulb and thus has more line of sight to router. It is no longer being shielded by the metal of the light fixture.
So far been two weeks without loss of connection.
