Adding Wyze Plug on iOS 13.1.1 fails

On iOS 12.4.1, I had no problems adding a plug to the app following the wizard

On iOS 13.1.1, following the same procedure And it doesn’t pair. It gets stuck after connecting to the plug’s SSID. It just displays the step to join the Wyze network instead of the trying to setup device progress circle.

I also noticed that after connecting to a 2.4 network and starting the wizard it doesnt populate the WiFi name field where as it did previously and I was only required to provide the password

As a workaround I used my iPhone 5c to add the plugs instead of my iPhone X

There appears to be a bug (not sure who’s bug) that requires iOS 13 users to turn on location services long enough to setup the Plug (Settings > Wyze > Location). Some iOS 13 users see this issue, some don’t.

Here are some other Plug setup tips if you still have difficulty:

Try
After connecting to the plug’s SSID hit the back button to finish setup , works for me on android
