Wyze outdoor cam theft protection?

Unfortunately, I get the “already assigned to another account” error on a brand-new out-of-the-box unit. It’s now a boat anchor. (This was a bundle with base station and camera).

If you bought it directly from Wyze, contact Support.

If you bought it from Amazon or Home Depot, there is a good chance it is a returned unit that had been set up by the first buyer and they didn’t delete the camera and base from their account while it was still powered up. In that case, return the bundle to the place you bought it.
