New Cam Pan won't detect motion events even if it's turned on

Welcome to the community, @JP4. Which version of the app are you using (public or beta).

In order for the community, and Wyze, to assist you better, please always provide all of the following.

  • Phone/tablet type and OS version on phone/tablet
  • Wyze app version (instructions here)
  • Firmware version installed on Wyze device ( Device settings (gear icon top-right) → Device Info → Installed firmware version)

This is needed because “latest” and “up to date” are subjective to when a post is added to the forum. (It is also important to distinguish whether an issue is actually with a beta version, as opposed to a public release.)

Phone is a Galaxy S10e - OS version 4.14.117 (build Feb 17 2020)
Wyze app version - v2.9.30 Public?
Wyze Cam Pan Firmware version - 4.10.5.111

LPinLP and rslnlover both reverted the software on their cameras to resolve issues with the motion detection not working. I have had a similar issue since upgrading so I was looking to revert too. But when following the instructions provided by LPinLP I did not see a button that said “Have problems?”. I am told I am “up to date” with no option to revert back. How can I revert my firmware to see if it will fix my new issues with motion detection?
