I started the install for the wyze thermostat. I followed the instructions in the video. I don’t have a C wire at the thermostat so I have to use the adapter. When I went to go install the adapter at the HVAC unit, I came across a problem. There is a second set of wires that don’t match what I see in the video. One of the wires (green) goes to C terminal and the other wire (white) goes to the Y terminal. See photos for details. Can anyone advise what to do with these two additional wires?
The green and white wire go to your AC unit. You can ignore them for the purpose of installing the adapter, but they should remain connected as they are.
