I just setup my new Wyze Scale for the first time this morning, clicked “Update Firmware” in the Wyze app, It has been 20 minutes, “Update firmware” is still showing “Downloading…”, is this normal?
How long do I wait?
I don’t want to brick my new scale.
I am using a Samsung S9 phone.
Now it says “Oops, we’re sorry. Failed. Please make sure your Phone and Scale are in close enough proximity with Bluetooth turned on”.
The phone is 5 feet from the scale.
I tried firmware update again, this time the app decided all is well and I am up to date on version 1.1.4
Also, unit seemed bricked, pulling and reinstalling batteries cleared that issue.
Very odd, but happy end result.
