Can I know why Wyze does not produce wyze sense v1 anymore?

I am using the sensors and they work very well.

Is the sensor no longer produced?

There is a known problem with the V1 sensors. If the batteries get too low they permanently lose the setting for the MAC. When that is no longer in the sensors memory they become useless and unable to connect to the sense bridge in the camera. This problem can also occur when you change a low battery. I suspect because of this flaw, Wyze has elected to discontinue them and move to the new V2 sensors which are being touted as more reliable with greater range.

I keep having motion sensors die. They aren’t exactly dead, their red light blinks, indicating they’re working. But they cannot connect to any of bridges. I’ve troubleshooted up the wig wang. They seem to last between a year to 18 months, in my experience. Then they need replacing. What is your experience?
