Wyze car frustration

Trying to buy the wyze car that came out today.
I have been trying to buy it since 12 am EST. First it wont allow me to add the car in cart.
Then when i was able to add it to the cart it wont move to checkout page. The page threw hundreds or errors. Later it would not move to checkout confirmation and about 10 minutes later it would tell me “THERE ARE NO SOURCE ITEMS WITH THE IN STOCK STATUS”. This has been going on for 5 hours.

This is the worst user experience ever. I dont know who designed this promotion or sale method but this really is frustrating. The site is not ready for this type of sale. Also wyze is just pissing its customers with this frustrating sale/promotion method. I am never going to participate in this 500/hour type of sale ever.

It has lowered my expectation with wyze and its services.

Unfortunately I’ve been trying to buy a video card for the past couple of months, so this has been pretty normal…

For anyone still trying - I was able to get an order when I quit trying to “beat” the system. Add to cart - wait -wait - wait - new screen,… click payment method -wait -wait - more waiting -new screen…click address - wait - wait - go get a cold drink - new screen…click confirm - wait -wait - complete!

I tried refreshing, multiple tabs, force-reload…eventually they all died. Just being patient (actually, I forgot after clicking the first button and was surprised when I looked back and the error message had changed to the payment screen.)

It is exactly like the video card market so WYZE should have done a better job than this method of first come first server luck of the website draw crap.

Not enough good bot protection that I see

I got as far as the payment screen 3 times, where it kept telling me that that shipping address was blank. I tried manually entering the address and also selecting shipping the same as billing.

Wish I had that level of luck… The first time I got to the payment screen it completed with Amazon Pay and then timed out on the Success URL. I did not get order confirmation and now I have a pending payment with Amazon Pay. The second time I was able to get to the payment screen and tried to pay with credit card it said out of stock when I hit the place order button… If they are going to have pre-order limits, they need to work on a better system for this.

I have experienced the same thing. I got it in the cart after a few attempts and I kept moving through the checkout menu to have stuck in my cart out of stock. Just now, I went to try again and this time worse. My phone wouldn’t even refreshed with a link to click and the desktop couldnt get passed the add-on black cam. Just stuck. Great. I love their products, this just feels crappy and average consumers are left disappointed. I’ll just watch for a version two or something… good luck… I’m done with this.

Whoever the wise guy is at Wyze who came up with this LESS THAN WYZE IDEA to allow pre-orders of 500 trucks per hour ONLY on April 1st 2021… know that your DIMM idea just pi$$ed a lot of a lot of customers … and you would show a lot of class by taking a BIG HIT on profits by offering those of us who could not get through…AT LEAST free shipping…and an apology for all this crashing bull$hit you put us through ! There must be SOMEBODY wise at Wyze who cares about this fiasco, right ???

Give Wyze a break. This was supposed to be a light-hearted, fun product for April 1st. So what if you didn’t get a silly RC car? Complaining is only going to reduce the chances that Wyze does something like this again.

Look like to me it is an April fool days there will be no car. Because I tried three times s not able to checkout. Even at one time, it website says no item in the cart show two items there. I have picture to prove my point

Others are reporting that they were able to get the car. I just got as far as I have all day…and that was clicking on the Paypal link…then the crash back to OUT OF STOCK.

Totally frustrated. I had it in my cart once, got all the way to click it to pay, and it showed out of stock on the last step after showing shipping, tax, and everything.
Three more times, it showed to be in my cart, but got the dreaded “maintenance issues” page.
Just now, got one in the cart, but couldn’t get to the cart. Then it showed zero.
I guess I don’t need one.

Same luck here. I’ve been on the payment screen multiple times and tried different ways to pay, and always with the same result - no car. You’ll also notice that none of the cowards from the company are responding to these posts. They know they’ve screwed up.

So disgusted that I tried hour after hour. Had it added to cart, got to payment screen but wouldn’t process. So disappointed. Even worse to see others who were able to get multiple cars

I had one in my cart with the v2 camera and by the time I had my card info in they were out of stock. How can they sell one to someone else when it is in your cart?

Give them a break for not being able to handle demand for THEIR promotion? What a joke. And as far as them not doing something like this again. So what? I’m done with the company after today, anyway. How can I trust their products when they can’t even sell them properly?

I knew this BS just couldn’t have been me! I had at least got it in my cart 5 times and got the same errors. The 2nd hour they were all gone 5 seconds after the hour. I would bet some folks used a bot to buy them all up and even snatched them from our carts. I did get a Cam v2 purchased, for what?! Never wasting my time doing a sale like this again!

Same crap here made Woot’s notorious crap serves seem like child play - in cart but not in the cart at the pay screen and gone really BS to me
