Auction it off, post it on Facebook Marketplace for slightly cheaper, Craigslist, eBay, people will buy them. I love having 1-2 for posting them in remote areas, doing time lapses, take hiking, travel mode possibilities and all sorts of things. People buy these, even used. People even still buy V1’s used. Just say in your listing that it works as designed but you wanted to replace it with a wired solution that would record 24/7.
Use the money you got to buy a couple of these.
Problem solved. It’s really quite simple for anyone not happy with the WCO. I promise, people have been buying them.
Looks great! a form-factor POE adapter (ideally that attached directly on the back of the camera) as an add-on would be a great addition. I’d pay extra for it because I already do for 3rd party splitters.
I’m interested in the differences with the Outdoor cam. Obviously no battery and it doesn’t require its own hub, but does this new V3 cam also have the different motion detection system used by the Outdoor cam?
What is the anti-theft strategy for the v3 as it has a magnetic mount. With v2 inside the 3rd party outdoor housing, the perp has to spend at least a minute unscrewing the unit from the base that I screwed onto the side of the building.
I know it is only $20. But I rather not keep parting with $20 plus shipping on a regular basis.
@UserCustomerGwen@WyzeChao or anyone else that can answer this question… Will the upcoming sensor base station/hub support the WCO as well?
I would like to replace all my V2’s with V3’s and need to continue to use the sensors, since V3 doesn’t support the sensor bridge I will need to get the sensor base station/hub - however i already have the WCO base station in use and i can’t afford another ethernet connection/power outlet to accommodate 2 base stations for the same product line.
The v3 does not support the Wyze Sense Bridge, but a standalone Wyze Sense Hub will be launched in the near future. You may keep on using Wyze Cam v2 or Wyze Cam Pan to support the current Wyze Sense Bridge.
Thank you for the quick reply, however my question was not addressed - i already mentioned that the V3 doesn’t support it, and that i would like to eventually get rid of my V2’s, and that there is a sense hub coming up…all of that was in my original post…my question is:
Will the upcoming sensor base station/hub support the WCO as well?
I do not want 2 hubs for the same product line, it would make no sense to have two hubs, but I wanted to get clarification.
