I’m trying to connect my wyze cam pan, it read the code and starts the countdown but as soon as the countdown finishes, it says the connectivity has timed out, no matter how many times I’ve tried. I have great internet so I’m not sure how to fix this.
Is the access point dual band or 2.4 GHz only? There have been problems with the cameras connecting to dual band access points. I don’t know if that is still an issue.
if you have it, go into your router and disconnect the 5Ghz band so it does not attempt to connect to it. our cameras will only work on 2.4
Just go into your router setting and create 2 SSIDs, a unique one for 2.4 ghz and another one for 5 ghz.
Set up all your smart home devices with the 2.4 SSID.
For instance I have 2.4 called “Apple Network” and the 5 ghz is “Apple 5G Network” and my phone uses the 5 ghz by itself.
