Wyze cam pan - Sound Problem

Hello,

I have WyzeCAM Pan for a few months now and i was not able to solve problem with sound recording.
On live video i can hear mostly some noise/ electrical interference or what it is and only when i max the volume on my phone. otherwise its just silent movie…
when cam is ON, it have never detect any sound,… 0 alerts for sound…

Reset or firmware update doesn’t help…
any suggestions?

BTW - Im from Europe therefore sending cam back is not an option…:frowning:

Welcome to the group! You didn’t mention, but what are the your cameras settings for sound detection and notification? Are you not getting any notifications and event videos(show up in event tab off home page)?? Are they any different than this?:

I have tried all options…
And im afraid that its hardware related…

Did you try the VLC player app ?

If you haven’t already I’d try and temporarily move the Pan closer to your WiFi access point.
Check your 2.4 GHz WiFi using an analyzer to see if your channels are being used by neighboring WiFi’s.

You might want to try a Factory Reset.
You said you had tried reset- I’m assuming you meant thru the app, which is a different and less effective process.

I didnt perform factory reset…i will let you know how it goes…

Beside that, i have second wyze cam V2 on same wifi working perfectly…

Factory reset done - didnt help. Sound is still NOK…
If i put volume on max then you can hear it…like whispering…and cracking noise all the time…like its in to pocket or something…

Any ideas what next should i try?..before i try to open it and check hardware?
