Wyze Bulb Use As Soffit Light?

Hey Everyone,
I’ve searched with no results. I realize that Wyze bulbs are not rated for “Outdoor” use, but I’m trying to find out if anyone has tried them in a Soffit socket which is typically recessed several inches up in the soffit receptacle that I think would provide pretty good shelter from all but the most violent swirling rain.

Many thanks in advance for any experience someone can share!!! Lee

I’ve had one in my uncovered porch light for 6 months without any issues, if that helps…

I have 5 bulbs outside - 2 on my porch and 2 on each side of my garage and one in a post lamp on the side yard. Been there for about a year without issues. About 3 months ago I switched them to the color bulbs. so far all is good

I have a similar situation – the soffit light fixtures are covered by a loosely held glass plate, and I am wondering if they are thus considered “entirely enclosed”, and whether that creates additional problems.
