After updating my app on iOS, my Wyze cam V3’s no longer have detection zone settings, it’s set to off and won’t turn on, no longer able to block out things setting off my cameras
Seems like night viewing on my V3 cameras changed also, not as bright as usual when lights came on
Also asking me to upgrade to cam plus, which I have

Thanks to all who have reported these new issues. I am happy I turned off auto updates on my Apple devices. I have already exceeded my WYZE “issues” quota for this month. :astonished:

I noticed the exact same issue, this morning, after the app updated on my iPhone.

Oof. Thanks for the reports, everyone! I’ll send them to the team. Could you please send in logs for these?

Account > Wyze Support > Submit a Log > Make sure you select your affected device and describe the issue in the description field. Giving the date, time, and time zone that you ran into the problem will help us locate the relevant area of the log more quickly!

Hi Gyzmo, I have found the issue as well. Let me report it to the dev team to fix it ASAP.

Thanks,

Xiaolong Chen

outdoor cams v1 lost detection settings, set to 1 and if I change it and go back in, still set to 1. PIR area also just shows blue / black screen. Ugh.

Have an old android phone lying around and logged in with that, detection settings work just fine on that app with same camera.

Events no longer shows slider bar for time in vertical mode. It is there if you rotate phone horizontally.

I had the same issue on iOS. I cleared the Wyze cache, logged out, restarted my device, logged back in and everything came back up as normal.

I’m guessing for me it was a glitch reading the “old” settings with the updated app (maybe). Who knows if I needed to complete all these steps, but it worked and everything is normal again.

Thanks. Tried all of this with no luck.

Why would we need to send the logs when the team just has to turn on a camera in the shop to see the same thing we are experiencing. Didn’t they test this update prior to release? How do issues like this go unnoticed?

None of the steps worked for me either. I’m so tired of issues with Wyze software based products!

That’s because your old phone doesn’t have the updated App. This new update is what is causing the problem.

To solve the problem of loss of detection zone or other issues , I installed version 2.29.2(a3) via TestFlight. It was after the post of @hoops296 that I went to see if I also had this problem. And yes, so I played with the function and we start receiving notification for each vehicle that passed in the street. If I hadn’t seen the post, I wouldn’t have noticed. But by removing the detection zone, there’s no way to put it back. As a beta tester, we have the option to roll back apps. If you feel like it, sign up or for those who will read our messages, do not try it. The problem is surely present for you too. If you are caught there, you will have to remove the notifications. :frowning:

I set my iPhone to not auto update apps but it updated the Wyze app anyway. In addition to no detection setting or zone now on the WCO I can’t download or view my scheduled recordings from the WCO album. It says files do not exist, they do I just viewed them on my PC after taking the card out of the cam.Log # 575054

Hey, me and a few others in the Wyze Discord are also experiencing the setting bug on the WCO v1.

Detection settings page loads both sliders at 1, and cannot change it. PIR effective zone below shows blue zone, no video feed. All settings in Advanced Settings page get reset to the off position everytime you view the page, but enabling settings does cause the desired effect. Although the “Night Vision IR Lights” setting always says “Update setting failed”. The event recording tab seems to work as intended. The notifications tab also works. The solar panel accessory tab has its “Powered by Solar Panel” setting disabled, even though its working and is really enabled.

Force closing app and clearning cache does not fix this, and it only applies to the outdoor cams.
