Nope. It just refuses to connect.
The WAP wonât connect to the modem or the cameras donât connect to the WAP?
Is the modem / router an IFW-40 or IFWA-40? I can only find IFWA.
The WAP wouldnât connect to the modem; however, I think itâs something going on with my Google nest. I havenât been able to connect it to my system either. It was working great then I briefly switched to a Netgear Nighhawk POS and when I switched back it will only let me hook one up as the main router, but I canât get the other two to connect as points on the mesh.
A WAP that connects to the existing routerâs Ethernet port should solve the problem.
It would also segregate the Wyze 2.4 Ghz devices from the existing Wifi.
I connected it by Ethernet. It wouldnât recognize it.
Bet the Google Mesh WiFi Router/Hub does not behave as a true WAP.
Borrow a real WAP from your IT friend, not all router/hubs can do WAP mode.
That is too ambiguous to work with.
Which it is it?
I guess you gave up?
Sorry, no I havenât given up; my mother had a medical emergency and weâve been dealing with that for a while so I havenât had time to work with it.
Sorry to hear that, hope she has a speedy recovery
