Wifi SD card or adapter

Has anyone tried using a wifi SD card or adapter to download video without having to physically access the card? I’ve been seeing some less expensive ones and thought of giving it a try before I mount a camera near my roof line.

Interesting idea. Not sure about compatibility power-wise, etc.

Someone else suggested using the extender as a way to keep the SD card secure indoors when the camera is mounted outdoor.

Don’t you think the micro sd card slot could power the wifi radio?

Just wondering out loud. One way to find out… let us know if you try it.
