I found a dead bird on my porch:
I have several cats and they were the obvious suspects.
Suspect Kovu:
BIO
This guy thinks he’s the boss, and does the most hunting (he’s caught a lot of things, sometimes he eats them, sometimes he doesn’t even kill them). Sometimes when he gets bored, he will beat up on the other cats. He loves people and will run up to strangers and roll over and beg to petted.
Suspect Pumpkin:
BIO
He’s an animal shelter rescue. When we got him, he was all sick and mangey and had ear mites and was terrified of everything, acted like he’d been abused. Nobody wanted him, but my wife got him anyway, and now he’s our favorite. We first named him tiger, but he’s nothing like a tiger, so we had to change his name to Pumpkin. He is so loving, and learns tricks easy (he’ll give high-fives, he’s really obedient like a dog and knows several commands, etc. Smart little guy. He doesn’t make messes, always uses the litter box, rarely strays from home, is very submissive, all the other cats have instantly loved him even when they don’t like others. Everyone loves Pumpkin. His favorite thing is “grasshoppers” and he will catch them and bring them to humans and others cats as presents. I have also seen him play with other animals his brother caught for him, so he has it in him to catch a bird and leave it as a present for others.
Suspect Flower
BIO
This toothless wonder was allergic to his own teeth. The vet eventually had to remove them all. Someone actually stole Flower away from us for like 5 years, moved to a different county, then returned him to animal control when his final teeth got infected and he stopped eating and they didn’t want to foot the bill to the vet. Animal Control called us and asked if we wanted our cat back, and my daughter started bawling because she thought he was dead all this time, but apparently he was just stolen. He loves to catch things and loves to play animals the others catch, but he doesn’t have the teeth to kill or eat them. Plus he’s fat and slow. Not likely to be him, but it would explain why the bird was left there without being eaten.
Suspect Aurora
BIO
Don’t let her innocent eyes fool you. She is the female in a gang of males. She doesn’t like other females. She is the grumpiest of the bunch, she doesn’t like being held, and until recently only liked her head being touched (lately she’s okay with everywhere), but she is always begging for treats. She has spurts of being a hunter/playing, and she will play with things her brothers catch, and she has brought stuff home before, but she is does not do so frequently.
Suspect River:
BIO
This guy was a stray. Our daughter’s friend tried to adopt him, but her dog and cat didn’t get along with him, so she begged my daughter to hold onto him while they found someone who could take care of him. We took him to Animal Control to see if he was chipped and had an owner, and they wouldn’t let us take him back home, then a couple of weeks later they showed up at our house and asked us if we’d take him back.
He has scars all over him, and he doesn’t know any personal boundaries. He will run right up to other cats to cuddle with them even while they’re hissing at him. He steals human food right out of your hand (literally anything, even things like flaming hot cheetos), but he would never hurt anyone, even when little kids are mauling him, he is really patient and loving and wants to cuddle with people. He’s still fairly young and he likes chase, catch and play.
It should be mentioned that suspect River eventually grabbed and ATE the victim roughly 10 hours after the victim’s death:
Which does not make him guilty of the murder itself, but it doesn’t help his case either.
I then checked my Wyze cam to find video evidence of the murderer.
Before you watch the Wyze cam video evidence of who murdered the victim, make your guess…who do you suspect is the guilty criminal/murderer of this innocent victim?
