I have experimented by charging my WCO using a power bank. The camera will stop recharging the battery after reaching 100%.
I will leave the battery connected. The power bank stops losing capacity and the camera will start draining down shortly after reaching 100%. I have several power banks, it is the camera causing this.
The WCO isn’t meant to be continuously changed.
This may be one of the reasons why in addition to weather proofing and battery health.
Yes, I understand this. My observation is based on my preference to keep the camera mounted and on during recharging. I am tired of having to remove and remount the camera every 4 weeks. The battery went from 2% per day (8 weeks) to the current situation of 4% drain per day when the mild winter began.
