Vinyl siding clip/platform for Pan V2

Has anyone found a vinyl siding clip for the Pan-V2?
Several people have attested to the camera working outside using an appropriate “skin”.
I’d like to try putting Pan-V2’s on the corners and eaves of my houses and maybe my relatives.

I’m thinking like a WYZE CAM PAN MOUNTING KIT integrated on a Vinyl siding clip. I don’t want the cords and screws that are in the kit.

I was going to mount them upside down under the eaves, but then on most of m locations I’d require a 24 to 32 foot ladder. But with the clips I can just lean out any 2nd story window.

Hmmmm… Ive not looked for one but have a few thoughts to share.

You would want the camera out far enough from the house so a lot of your view isn’t siding, which affects night vision and IR (so I’ve learned with a WCO).

Going out further from the siding wall would cause concern with the weight of the camera using a clip setup. Not so much on a picturesque day but even in light wind,

Pan Cam V1/2 has more weight and a larger profile, using a clip may offer a lot of jitter even in the slightest breeze if not on a steady platform.

And while I am one of those folks with a skinned up Pan Cam outdoors, not sure I would subject the camera direct to the elements, having it under a soffit or easement, in my opinion helps protect the camera more, as you know it is not rated to be outdoors.

But then again, Im always down for trying whatever

Something below is getting there but not sure you would have a lot of clearance mounting vertical where the mount plate is on the pan cam vs the back like the V 2/3

For $1 a pop these are very stable and work with almost any existing mount. Worth a shot?

I’ve got some of them, and lots of them without the bolt but I was hoping someone had designed an all in one solution that would give me a flat platform for bolting a Pan V2 on.

Well here’s my non-optimal first prototype.
My concerns were
easy mounting
waterproofing the slotted back
minimal work & cost

I added the Mtn Dew bottle because it was handy and fitted tightly over the Pan. I’m thinking I’ll redo that with one having the top up so it doesn’t catch ice and snow.

The angle bracket had hole spacings such that I could firmly screw the tripod base on it. Far over strength for the camera but it fit.
Still need to get some weatherproofing around the bottom slots.

It’s been outside panning for 3 days now. So far only light rain.

Sorry, thought I uploaded it

Awesome. Interested in seeing your prototype and the device mounted.

Does it work with Diet?

Nice idea for getting the clearance you needed! Thanks for showing us. How does it do in the wind? The L bracket would seem pretty stable if it’s screwed into something solid.

One area of concern to be mindful of. With rain (or given your area, if snow) you could have some run off right onto your micro usb and seep into the connector.

Yes, that’s why I mentioned “weather proofing”.
I’m thinking of dabs of RTV and short skirts coming down on the camera base.
I need to set up a V3 to monitor it during a rain,
Or I may just build a “bird house”.

I’m using two of these per cam. They work great.
