Thermostat not powering on. No power through common

I am working with the Thermostat. I have wired it all as per the instructions, but the thermostat is not powering up.
I do not have photos to post as of right now, but I can get some.

the issue I have isolated it to now is that I am not getting any power. I had to install the C-wire harness so my Green is Common now, but no power coming from that.

Hints?

pictures would be best but there’s 2 tings to check…

  1. make sure the green wire on the Wyze tstat side in on C not G
  2. make sure the power wire (typically red wire) is on Rc not Rh at the Wyze tstat
