Strange DNS behavior

I’m observing strange behavior by two new Wyzecams on my network:

  • DNA calls to several websites every few seconds. Sometimes multiple DNS calls per second. In the last 24h I had more than 4000 calls for two domains dominating my network.

In addition to making multiple calls per second, the camera also appesrs to be making IPv6 calls. IPv6 is not enabled on my network. Those DNS calls do not get resolved. The cameras should not attempt to make IPv6 DNS calls when the protocol is not enabled on my network.

Can you please explain why the cameras need to be making these calls every second flooding my network and why you are using IPv6?

Thanks,

Markus
