I’m pretty sure I remember a setting to disable/enable the greenboxing of motion areas. But I can’t find it any more.
Was it removed?
You’ll find that by going to the camera and selecting the More… option below the camera view. Then turn on our off motion tagging.

If I may, I humbly suggest that belongs under [Gear icon], Alert Settings or advaced settings.
Of the three options under ‘More…’, Motion Tagging is the only one that affects how (‘adjective’/setting) the camera records. The other two are ‘verbs’/actions. … One of these things is not like the other…
