Schedule Recommendation - Settings

Before you read my question, I don’t need to record video 24/7.

I want to receive notifications if someone comes into my office after hours, between 5PM and continue until I return at 7AM for Weekdays. And all day on Saturday and Sunday.

Is it better to just turn the Camera On/Off on a Schedule vs. turn On/Off Notifications on a Schedule?

I seem to be confusing myself with trying to figure the settings out, see below…can some please let me know recommended settings?

  • Camera On: Friday 5PM
  • Camera Off: Monday 7AM
  • Camera On: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur 5PM - AHHHHHH!

Will this work:

TURN OFF CAMERA AT 7AM MON - FRI
TURN ON CAMERA AT 5:00PM MON, TUE, WED, THUR, FRI

Hi @MITCH1 ,

If you only care about actions during those times and dont care and or need video or notifications while your there, Scheduling the cams to turn off and on would be my choice out of the two options, But make sure you have your notifications settings set up. Then I would create the Rule you stated:
