i love wyse cam v2 & campan. i have three v2’s. wyse was wise to provide the RTSP firmware, but i want more!
has anyone managed to get the thing to be a wifi netcam instead of a cloud cam? (pretend i live on a planet before the internet)
maybe even a browser based client for stand-alone control & viewing
Maybe some it is needed to create a YouTube tutorial on how to follow this process of installing the custom firmware to unleash the real capability this units have and one is to increase the bitrate to a much higher level since wyze cam wont do it with the intention of squeezing as much money as possible. It now seems like the balance is broken and they are not willing to do some small but well needed changes to make it worthwhile for many of users experiencing some issues. We been pushed aside

I haven’t tested it though as I have moved on from Wyze. I still have my v2 cams and use the Dafang firmware.
Even better @noel has extended the Kroo hack into something really interesting using stock firmware.
I have the Cam V2, when I install Dafang CFW, the camera reboots and its makes a clicking sound, the light stays yellow and I can’t ping the ip I reserved for it in DHCP. The same thing happens when I tried to load wyze beta RTSP firmware. I plug in the power, the led goes blue, then after a while, it acts like its rebooting and the clicking sound starts.
Any ideas what is wrong?
