After the 12-second recording does it wait 5 minutes before it starts recording again?
Depend on where you are talking about. For motion alerts to the cloud, yes, max of every five minutes. If you are recording to the uSD card, and if you are set to record events only, it records a one minute segment every minute. If there is motion detected in that minute, it keeps that minute’s recording. If no motion was detected, it does not keep the minute. If you have recording to the uSD card set to continuous (as I do), all the one minute files are kept until the uSD card fills up. When the card fills up (with either type of recording set), the camera deletes all the files for the oldest day to make space.
