Practical uses for these bulbs?

I bought the set of four bulbs on the flash sale (or whatever it was called) last week.

Somehow, I resisted the extra 2 pack to go with it.

OK, so I have an overdeveloped sense of “shiny” . . .

Anyway, as cool as they are on principle, are there any practical uses?

I’ve come yup with:

  • messing with trick-or-treaters by suddenly changing the porch color
  • anti-mosquito color for evenings on the back porch.

and then, uhm . . .

but on the other hand . . . Shiny!

I was under the impression the major use cases were parties and bedroom antics.
