I look and could find anything thing on this. I have several wyze switches now and they just take up a lot of room on the app. The LIST layout has got so long with all the different devices that is has started to become annoying to use the app and look for devices.
I was hoping to group the switches int he near future to put them on a single line that I can click and open a sub category to them select the specific switch if necessary.
Also, maybe have a different layout option, like tiles or thumbnails?
Installed two of the three Switches and so far, I am, shall I say, unimpressed. The terminals on two of the switches broke during installation. Neither of them will stay connected to the wi-fi despite having great signal strength. The one with a couple of schedules set up turns lights on at random times in the middle of the day. Anyone else experiencing these shortcomings? Why can’t I add them to a group?
I’m sorry you’re having that trouble. I haven’t experienced that. I’ve installed 3 switches. One of them like went through setup a couple of times when I manually turned it on and off.
I use Amazon Alexa, and - at least with Philips Hue - I’ve had issues when I’ve grouped devices in their native app and in Alexa. So I only group in Alexa anymore… For what it’s worth.
I’m not comfortable with a device on my network listening in on me 24x7. I have a couple of Echo Dots in a box somewhere. I use the Wyze app for all my Wyze products and I have very little trouble with the plugs and bulbs. The Cam Pans have difficulty with streaming video. The Bulb Colors have features that work only occasionally since the AWS issue. The Switches though, have never worked properly. Constantly toggling between available and offline in the app. This despite the router reporting they are connected to the wi-fi. The one with schedules set up turns lights on and off at will. Replacements are supposed to be arriving tomorrow but I am headed out of town and feel like I can’t trust them to work while I am gone.
Yes please do this and allow us to group with with other items. So we can group switches together or switches and bulbs together. Or switched bulbs strips power outlets all of it lol.
The wishlist topic that will allow custom grouping of dissimilar devices is located at.
