Same here. And mine is in an area that never gets motion, and only on at night. It still drops 30% charge a week.

I have two outdoor cameras, and they discharge at different rates. I’m assuming that it has to do with the power state change when it detects motion. In the area with increased motion the battery lasts about 1/2 as long as the other camera. I chalk it up to the fact that the camera has to report the motion back to the base station and record the motion that it detected.

Some possible solutions would be set the recording cooldown to the maximum value (5min) or turn off detects motion altogether if that’s not important to you. Removing the option to back up to the base station may also save on battery.

I was charging my outdoor camera every 30 days. I set the camera to operate from 6pm to 6am. The battery is showing a 66% charge from a December 6 installation. The notification from the time the detects motion is long maybe 5 minutes. The speaker is not audible. Poor Design
