Many of us feel the same way as you do!
As I get older, I find that “dark mode” really helps me read app screens. You can even turn it on in this forum under your user preferences. But no joy from Wyze yet.

I’d love to see a dark mode theme for the app with a black or mostly black interface.
There is nothing like opening the app to view an alert in bed to be blinded by the current white dominate interface.

the thumbnails for alerts really help in wading through false positives (bugs flying near camera etc) . The more larger the thumbnail , the easier is would be to assess & ignore these unneeded videos.
I would presume the storage needed to hold a single frame of video of twice the dimensions would be reasonably small, especially compared to the 12 seconds of video itself.
There would be an aditional benefit for Wyze, as users would avoid downloading alert videos which didnt actually inte…

EDIT 07/25: We are planning to do this for a future build and looking into the implementation now. I don’t have an ETA for it yet since we’re trying to figure out which sprint would work best for this but landscape view will happen.
While we have a landscape orientation for viewing streams, the app itself is not optimized for landscape view. This causes difficulty for people with disabilities and for some other use cases. Right now, we’re not optimized per iOS standards.

After using the Wyze with the new products added, some usability is becoming a problem. The problems for me is the lack of readable of the text because of the poor choice of size, boldness, color, and contrast. This is increased to being 100% “unreadable” if outside in the light. Forget being pretty and use black on white or at least don’t use pale green text on white. And the font size is completely silly. Not everyone has 18 year old eyes.
Small spacing problems are also starting to show…
