My advice would be to secure your WiFi with a password
Absolutely. Unsecured WiFi shouldn’t be a thing these days, even if you write the password on a sign outside your home.
I could give a fairly long dissertation on WiFi security - but I won’t unless requested. However suffice it to say that you should NEVER leave your WiFi unsecured. I could give you WAY too many horror stories. I’ve seen some really entertaining things because of unsecured WiFi.
