It would be great if once a “Safety Temp” point is hit the thermostat could send a notification that it has occurred and what the current temperature is. This feature would be critical for monitoring a vacation/second home which is unoccupied. HVAC system failures are not unheard of and can cause serious damage. Couldn’t replace my existing Honeywell WiFi thermostat without this capability. Honeywell also notifies you if communication is lost to the thermostat (possible power or wifi outage).
