Need Cable longer than 30" to Power Light Socket Adapter

I need a longer cable than 30" to reach the light socket to power my camera. I’ve tried a longer Wyze cable and 2 non Wyze cables and while they will power the camera, the light socket adapter ‘disappears’ as an accessory in the Wyze app. Wyze Support says they don’t ‘recommend’ anything longer than 30". Has anyone found one 15’ or longer that will work. I hate having my lights on 24/7 to power the camera. Thanks!

From what I’ve read, you need a cable that supports power and data. That may be difficult to find in longer lengths.

Thanks for helping me find a place to start. I did find a 15’ cable that claims to do both. I’ll give it a try! :slight_smile:

And as you mentioned, the light socket would show/work as an accessory for the v3 cam, right?

Yes it worked well. I used 2 of them and they both worked to let me use the light socket accessory on 2 cameras more than the 30" Wyze cable.
