Is it ok to mount receptacles in the attic for the cameras. I was a little worried about the summertime heat.
People have reported having the cameras in high temp areas, but haven’t heard much about the power adapters. I had a different brand’s power adapter in the attic for a while and it eventually failed due to the heat, but it did make it through a couple of summers.
My guess is that summer attic heat will eventually kill any USB power adapter. But the good news is that they are easily replaced.
