Mount sprinkler controller outside

Can I mount the sprinkler controller outside? My current one is on an outside wall.

The sprinkler is not weather proof but they do have a outdoor case in development

Thanks. If I get two since yours doesn’t have enough zones, can I sync them with one program?

I’m not sure about multiple sprinklers being able to sync, but I suppose you could wire 8 zones to one sprinkler and the remaining to the other,then setup an appropriate schedule between the 2.
