Long / unpredictable delay in listing new Notifications in App

Although I searched the support forum for this, I did not exactly find it, so apologies if this has already been over-discussed.

Running latest firmware, and using Wyze Android app, the Notifications page of the app often doesn’t show new notifications (new = last 12-24 hrs) for quite a while. Sometimes you can poke it to behave by shutting down the app, then re-launching. OTOH today prior to 2PM there were no notifications listed for today Feb 12, then suddenly the list shows 6 of them. I realize the Android native notification area shows, apparently, the last notification. But overall this seems a bit cumbersome.
