Light is solid red. Phone and iPad says it is only charged to 42%. Leave it on charger longer?
Let’s start off with: What product are you talking about?
Sorry, outdoor cam.
Hi @jlgale59 and welcome to the community Forum!
Good of @K6CCC to save me a lot of invesgative research on te model.
If the camera has been charging for many hours (didn’t indicate how long) would go ahead and use it. Several people have reported this issue and it seems to go away after several usage cycles. The camera should send you a low battery warning when it gets below 20%. Wait for that before charging.
If the condition does not improve, call or eMail Support to open a case.
Did you charge it by plugging it into the base?
No, with the cord into a power strip. Is that wrong? It is slowly charging.
It might be wrong. I don’t know what the output of your power strip is but the outdoor cam should be charged using a source that outputs at least 2 amps. The base station USB port outputs 2 amps and newer phone USB chargers might output 2 amps. Using a proper source the camera should fully charge in around 4 hours.
I’m using the cable that came with it. It’s 2A.
The cable is rated for 2 Amps but if you don’t plug it into a source that outputs 2 amps the camera may not charge properly.
Gotcha, thanks appreciate the help!
