Hello, I would like to know if there is any way to use the night vision without the inboard LED’s being on? I have a cam I want to use outdoors that has a solid clear plastic housing over it. I cannot use the built in LED’s because of the glare. I have an LED spotlight I want to use instead that would illuminate the covered area much better anyway so I need a way to turn off the lights on the camera while it is in night mode if it is possible. Thanks.

Yes that. 
I knew that was there and had tried it but I thought that switch turned off ALL of the night vision capability. But I also had the night vision turned off at the main screen on the upper right. Turning it back on with that advanced settings control off, it works perfectly.
