When I go to the Wyze Home screen on my iPhone, live streaming is on automatically. How can I turn off live streaming while keeping the camera on and monitoring for motion?
Live streaming is available to any authorized recipient (password and ID required). If you have a security concern, you should consider 2FA.
My concern is to minimize data usage, not security.
To minimize data, don’t view the camera’s live stream when on cellular, and don’t share your cams.

Home page shouldn’t live stream, just show a recent thumbnail from the camera view. Now if you have your camera grouped then view that group, the cameras in that group will show up live.
If the camera settings have motion detect enabled, it’ll always be detecting motion whether you are live streaming from it or not.
