Hiding the Contact Sensor Simple Jig Small Holes

For those people who thought my three-hole drilling template method of making a slot in the edge face of a door was too involved, the method provided below uses a simpler drilling jig. It has only one hole, and since the contact sending unit will be placed in its receiving slot with a narrow side facing out, only five holes are needed. A simple way of overcoming some common mistakes is presented. The pictures that follow describe in detail the jig and how to use it. One of these methods will be used in a future post. At the end of the pictures is a PDF table of offsets for the holes in Imperial and Metric units.
