Headphone mic stops responding during long calls

I’ve noticed lately that my Wyze headphones will just cut the mic at some point during long calls. I can still hear the call, but sometimes after not saying anything for a while I start to speak and no one can hear me. This is getting really annoying and causing frustration with work colleagues when they are waiting for a response from my and I’m blabbing away unaware they can’t hear me or I have to start every conversation with “can you hear me” like I’m using Alexander Bell’s phone.

Anyone else experience this? Any fix? (using iPhone, latest updates, tried unpair and re-pair the headphone with no resolution.

I have been having this issue with Shokz Bluetooth headsets as well… This “may not” be Wyze’s issue…

Just as a point of information, I use cheap true wireless earbuds for long conference calls and have never had this problem. I only mention this because the underlying Bluetooth connectivity is the same.
