Garage door motion detection

With the camera mounted inside the garage, with views of the garage doors, will the camera’s motion detection system detect metal garage doors opening and/or closing?

Seems like it would since the motion detection uses changes in pixels and not PIR.

Yes, I have one in this configuration currently and it works very well.

If you have windows in the garage doors, you will also get some motion detected when the lighting changes.

I also would not enable sound detection on that camera. Mine used to send notifications all the time when it got windy outside.
