Could the storage on the SD card be arranged so it looks like a digital camera folder structure? Start with the standard DCIM folder, then make folders by date. This would allow cards to be read more easily with a card reader/phone combination. It would also allow stand alone image downloading devices to quickly copy the contents of the SD card with using a computer.
