Few issues observed and suggestions required

I recently brought the Wyze Cam, Observed it indoor for a few days it was so great. I decided to put in my front door and noticed few issues. My setting is HD recording and don’t have SD card for now.

  1. Even though I see the area to sense the motion it covers outside that area
  2. The night vision is really bad, any suggestion on fix it?
  3. it misses some motion sensing
  1. It may be that there was coincident motion that was less prominent inside the detection zone (eg. a shadow change)

  2. Can you be more specific?

  3. Try increasing sensitivity in the motion alert settings

  1. Motion captures way outside the area, I cut off a tree to avoid sensing the wind. It it still does it and I get alerts

  2. Is there a way I can share my night vision clips? the clarity is very bad and doesn’t sound like it can do better in the night. I see 4 red lights at the night.

  3. I’ve it at the highest level, reading from the forum it looks there is a gap of every 5 minutes after a motion is detected. Is that a case always?

So, you made the detection zone smaller, and it still detects the tree moving?

You can share clips here, just select upload…

The cool down time is 5 mins, so, when it first detects something and gives you an alert, you won’t get another alert for 5 mins.

  1. Please upload a clip. It could be subtle motion away from the tree that’s being detected.

  2. To upload a clip, click the upload button image while posting.

  3. The 5 min cool down period is something that Wyze imposed to be able to provide cloud storage with no subscription. Yes, it’s a trade off. Paid subscription for less restricted cloud storage is being considered and you can vote for it here:

Thanks, for the quick response.

I couldn’t upload clips, I get this error message
Sorry, new users can not upload attachments.

  1. I will vote on the 3rd, I understand that I will start using the SD card

I upped your trust level, so you should be able to upload a clip now.

Thanks, Uploaded now.

I see what you mean. Is there anything (glass/plastic) between the camera and the subject of the night vision video?
