When home,
I set all the alarms & notifications off, so that I’m not constantly bothered by motion detection, or door state changes.
However, I’d still have a need to know when the back door, shed door or garage door is left opened for X amounts of time. Even if I’m home, I’d to be alerted on such situations.
If there is already a way and I missed it, apologies - else, please consider this multi level alarm approach in your dev planning
