The purpose of the fake screw is to make the camera appear to be more solidly attached to its base than it really is.
Some of my neighbors saw the fake screws on my V2 cameras and wanted the same for their camera installations. I made four fake screws and glued them to in-place steel camera mounts I had made for them earlier. The following three picture groups detail how it was done. It took about 1 hour to make the four fake screw sets. The fake screws are steel. NOT STAINLESS STEEL.
