This perfectly states my question… External speaker/mic hack?

I’ve searched the group/google, and I’m not seeing anyone having done this: I’d like to run speaker and mic signal to external devices. More specifically, I’d love to have a speaker and mic outside my front door (while the camera itself is mounted to the inside of the front door’s window) so I can speak to people at the door. I’m not afraid to run wires, amps, or solder, but I’m not seeing anyone having attempted this kind of mod.

I have not seen that particular mod myself but fairly sure it could be done fairly easily. I would check on Reddit as well, I have seen some mods there as well.

Try it, what do you have to lose? $25 worth of camera?
