What is the expected lifetime for a Wyze Cam Pan left in “Pan Cam” mode?
Asking because I want to leave it running in a vacation home that is only used a couple of times a year, but worried it may burn out the motor.
I would suspect it will last a long, long time. I’ve never had any electric motor product burn out. Electric motors are a pretty simple and trouble free design.
I just made a post on this. Based on the figure of 200,000 cycles for the motor which I read, I calculated 92 days if a cycle is going from 0 to 360 degrees and 184 days, about 6 months, if a cycle is considered going from 0 to 360 degrees and then back to 0.
From the lack of replies from Wyze to this post and a similar one I am guessing my calculation is pretty close.
