I prepaid for a year too. I canceled my Cam+ service and they refunded me the remainder of what was not used.
I deactivated, restarted all my cams and no errors after activating again.
Totally agree, Cam Plus is not ready for prime time. It’s a Saturday morning cartoon at best. The service is worthless to me unless its working. Maybe I can use the cameras as Christmas tree ornaments. That’s something…
I now have 3 CAM plus subscriptions and haven’t had a single 06 error in 2 weeks. Two of the subscriptions are tied to v3 cams and one is tied to an outdoor cam.
Did you do anything specific that others have not already mentioned like deactivating and restarting?
Nope not a single thing.
My error code 06 went away after I accepted a firmware update, but I had taken no other action.
Of course since I said something earlier this morning, I ended up getting an Error code 06 from my outdoor cam that has the cam plus subscription tied to later in the day.
Like I said earlier, I can go literally hundreds of event clips before suddenly I’ll get a 06 code.
I don’t have error code 6 very often now. But I’ve had it happen when trying to view a clip of
an unknown person coming to my door. And it still happens, just not often. I never got a response after making a report and uploading a clip in Dec. The issue isn’t entirely solved and I’ve seen no explanation by WYZE.
I bought the outdoor cam. Everything worked great UNTIL I added cam plus. BOOM!! nothing works like it did. Code 6, no notifications. I uninstalled cam plus and everything works great. Install cam plus BOOM! doesnt work. Uninstall cam plus, delete app, unplug base, redew everything and it works! install cam plus. BOOM! it does not work. This is bad. Looks like lots of folks have this issue. Does cam plus work for anyone?
I am also getting error code 06, but only on clips that were triggered by “motion”, the clips that were triggered by sound play back fine.

I’m really questioning my not so “Wyze” purchase at this point. It seems hit and miss, had several house of no errors then an error or two, etc…I’m on the free 2 week, but paid for a year with the v3 purchase this week, questioning whether I activate that or not after the 2 weeks.
Might be a case of you get what you paid for…Wyze being so cheap and all.
And agree with everyone else, it’s not a network thing. We have 1 gigabit service, brand new blazing fast state of the art AX router, and the router is maybe 15 feet from the camera. Super strong signal.
Its been over 3 weeks now still getting error code 6. I’ve put in several support tickets. Tried everything suggested and still no go. I think it is time to move on to a more reliable camera. Mine worked great for over a year but it has been glitchy since last major update. Just imagine if I’m robbed and the police ask for footage and I have to tell them the company who controls that is not working. What a JOKE!!!

Thanks! This solved my 06 error problem. To solve my “not receiving notifications” problem I had to go to the notification settings in my fairly new Samsung phone and select the Wyze app specifically, then make sure all the slide bars were “on” even the vibrate.

Thank you for figuring out how to get rid of the Error 06. Did exactly what you did and now it is working. Only wasted one day of my Cam Plus trial. . It seems like the cloud connection was not reset properly.
