The doorbell has lost its connection to the wireless twice in 2 weeks. I have to reset and setup again. Any ideas to prevent this?
Welcome to the forums! As a normal troubleshooting help, please also tell the group here more about your wireless setup, how the doorbell is powered, etc. As much info as possible actually will help the best for focused help, otherwise you’ll get a bunch of different shots in the dark as to how to fix this problem, that all we really know is “lost its connection twice”. Thanks in advance for all the info you can provide as to this setup and use case!
Apparently WYZE doorbell’s are sensitive to WiFi channel congestion, and connection bandwidth.
- Check your current WiFi Channel for congestion(many SSID’s using the same channel), most routers show/have a channel scan feature that display all the local area SSID’s running on available channels.
- Manually, select an channel with the lowest amount of congestion.
- Manually, select channel band width, to 20Mhz max.
- Apply and save your channel selections, reboot router.
