Can Wyze be used with low voltage from an irrigation system wiring?

I have an unused irrigation system where I would like to install cameras where sprinkler heads were previously used.

Pop-up cameras? What a neat idea! Actually, I wouldn’t think the wiring to the valves would go all the way to the sprinkler head. Don’t they put all the valves in a central location near the water source?

Yes, there are normally solenoid actuated valves in a central box.

Correct, and the heads pop up due to water pressure. Not something you probably want to expose the camera to.

Most sprinkler systems run on 24VAC. You would need a 24V AC to 5V DC converter, then wire it up to a USB socket.

I’m not endorsing it, but here’s one I found on Amazon:

As mentioned above, this would only get you to the valve box, not the actual heads. And you’d need to be concerned about waterproofing everything.

Guess I am confused. If you work out the power supply issue what next?

Are you trying to use the sprinkler timer clock to turn on and off your cameras?

What is your application?
