Just wondering if the contact sensors are water/weatherproof.

They aren’t waterproof and are rated for indoor use.
That said, I’ve had one on the outside of my mailbox since last spring and it’s held up fine even in zero degree weather and through rain, sleet and snow so far. I did cut a piece of silicone rubber from an old food mold and silicone it like a flap over the contact sensor to protect it from rain and snow.
I waterproof mines…
